He was the reason we bought the Sunday LA Times

We have no cross words for Barry Tunick, who died this week in Culver City. Barry and his partner Sylvia Bursztyn wrote the Sunday crossword puzzles for the Los Angeles Times, which we'd mastered (we'd once managed a daily NY Times puzzle or two each week), and for years were the only reason we bought the Times on Sundays.

Then they started offering the puzzle for free online. Barry, to you we say, _ _ _ _ _ _ (a six-letter "expression of gratitude").
